Summer Reading Program
Don't let your child's summer reading requirements become a chore!
In this personalized program, students will complete their required summer reading while reinforcing important academic skills. Students work privately with a certified reading specialist to practice reading comprehension strategies, writing skills, goal-setting and time management.
Program DescriptionIn this engaging summer program, your child will:
- establish a Summer Reading Planner
- practice reading strategies to enhance comprehension and learning
- complete graphic organizers relevant to assigned reading materials
- learn how to write a summary
- select books that he or she will love
The Summer Reading Program consists of ten individualized one-hour lessons to address all of your child's summer reading goals. Lessons can be scheduled throughout June, July and August. Tuition for the Summer Reading Program is $795. Tuition includes an initial 30-minute consultation with parents to discuss summer reading requirements and goals.
